So I'm thinking that rather than writing just another witty, creative column, let's do something funner, easier, and BETTER. I'll BLOG here for a while. It's better than it sounds! I'll write something new every day!
10/18/09: I just can't do this BLOG thing every day. Besides, my life is too boring, to me anyway, to tell you about it every day. I'll let you know if something interesting happens!
10/15/09: Still raining here! Gathered walnuts today that the storm knocked down a couple days ago. We have 3 big dogs at the nursery now, including Jake the neighbor's dog. They were helping with the walnut activity, but they eat most of the harvest!
10/14/09: Here we are two days into the daily BLOG thing, and I've already missed a couple days. I thought about "making up" days, but I won't do that. Yesterday, a major storm blew through Central Cali, and left the roof of my house littered with limbs from the pecan tree. At the nursery, the wind blew the tarp roof off an awning structure. The wind and rain were horizontal, and so almost was I trying to manage that big tarp in the wind. My friend Jon stopped by with his two new puppies!
10/08/09: Started the day as always; espresso, and KRON4 news with Darya Folsom. It's the best morning news show in the area (S.F.). Spent most of the day at the nursery, fixing stuff and helping with the plants. Put a new vinyl tarp roof on an indoor greenhouse building.
10/07/09: Bad day to start a BLOG. Today is as close as I get to a day off. So far I, 1. expertly crafted myself a shot of espresso using Ritual High Striker beans of Napa, CA, 2. had chimney cleaned by Manny, who always appears to be on the verge of dying from soot exposure, 3. practiced bass a little, 4. snuggled the dogs, 5. thought about this article, 6. thought about nothing, 7. thought about having another espresso, 8. expertly crafted myself a shot of espresso using Ritual High Striker beans of Napa, CA.
12/1/09: Well this isn't going as well as I thought it would! Seems I just don't have the time or desire to write every day (or even once a month!).
Here's my grab-bag of topics I'll be picking from in the future. I can hardly stop myself from tearing into one right now!
- New chainsaw
- Walking wholesale awning
- New nursery layout
- North-end land clearing
- Salvia divinorum
