HOW TO REGISTER FOR CLASSES
1.  Please pre-register early.
2.  Pay in full when registering (including materials fees).  We accept checks, cash, Visa, Mastercard and American Express.  IMPORTANT NOTE:  We are happy to add your name to the sign-up list for any of our classes.  However, until we have received payment, you ARE NOT OFFICIALLY ENROLLED IN THE CLASS.  This means that as classes sell out, and they often do, sign-ups who have not yet paid will be dropped from the list to make room for paying enrollees.    
3.  Payment can be made by mail, in person or by phone or FAX.
4.  Provide your name, address, phone number, and title of class when registering.
5.  A 48-hour cancellation notice is required to receive a refund.
6.  A $5.00 non-refundable fee will be retained on all cancellations.
7.  Confirmation will be by phone.
8.  Class may be canceled if a minimum number of students is not met.

Aromatherapy Soap Casting
with Brita Wynn
Capture the power of aromatherapy in simple cast soaps.  Using a gentle glycerin soap base learn to add soothing essential oils and herbs that not only cleanse but pamper and heal the skin.  Students will make and take home ready-to-use aromatic soap (no lye used in class).  Leave with lots of sample soaps made in class and a book of recipes to try at home.  Aromatherapy soap casting is a fun, easy project that can even be done with children who want to make their own gifts.
$25.00 + $10.00 materials fee.

Roses Sweet Roses

Roses are one of nature’s sweetest and loveliest gifts. They are easy to grow, marvelously varied in appearance and fragrance, and incredibly useful. Surround yourself with roses, spend an afternoon learning how to grow them, use them in many foods, use them medicinally, and work them into crafts and gifts. Projects include, rose beads, easy rose hip jelly, rose bath items and sachets. Extensive handouts will include growing and cultivation information, recipes, and craft instructions.

Herbal Soap Making

Learn to make your own fabulous herbal soap!  Handmade soap is one of a kind, every bar is unique.  It smells good, feels good and is 100% biodegradable.  Soap making, or saponification, is an acquired skill, improving as you experiment with herbs and essential oils.  In this introductory, hands-on class, herbalist and aromatherapist Kathy Lee will share a brief history of soap making, cover supplies needed, and share recipes for wonderful vegetable oil based herbal soaps.  Leave class with your first batch of herbal soap and "The Soap Book", a comprehensive herbal soap making manual.  Bring a snack, a small cooler and an old towel to insulate your soap for curing.

Aromatherapy 101

Discover the powerful nurturing effects of aroma in this hands-on beginning aromatherapy class.  Kathy Lee will share how essential oils can help us heal physically, emotionally and spiritually.  Students will learn the difference between synthetic fragrance oils and therapeutic essential oils, safety tips, where to obtain essential oils, how to blend and store essential oils and carrier oils, properties of oils, how to use the oils in complexion and skincare products, bodycare, fragrancing a home and so much more. If you've always had a desire to create healthful alternatives to all the chemically laden commercial beauty products please join us.  Bring 3 one-ounce glass bottles to class.

Aromatherapy Perfume Blending

Imagine running your hands through a sea of soft pink rose petals - you inhale the heady aroma, smiling in complete ecstasy and bliss.  Follow your nose from the valley of roses to your own herb garden in a discussion on the history of perfume and essential oils.  You will learn the basic structure and techniques of developing personal fragrances.  Create your own perfume oil, cologne, solid perfume, and "fragrant water" in class to take home and enjoy.  Bring 3 one-ounce glass bottles to class.

A Day of Lavender

Everyone's favorite plant, lavender is useful in the garden, kitchen and medicine cabinet.  Learn about the different types of lavender and how to grow and harvest it.  We will discuss its uses medicinally and make a healing lavender facial splash.  We will make lavender wands, soap, jelly and lotion.  Lots of handouts with recipes and craft ideas.  A light lunch is included.

Gardening With Chickens Naturally

Healthy Smoothies!

In this class, we'll gather herbs in the garden to make & sample several different kinds of smoothies.  We will be using a variety of fruits, vegetables, greens, herbs, spices, super foods, even some wild foods!  Learn which foods are important to purchase (or grow yourself) organically, which foods and herbs are detoxifying, and which herbs add a nutritional boost to your creations.  You'll go home with recipes, ideas, and a list of sources for local organic foods (and maybe a green herb smoothie mustache!).
